Max Life Church is our family and our home, and one of the biblical ways we grow this closeness of family and home is by eating together. Great food has always been a part of our church culture. When we first started Max Life almost 17 yrs ago, we provided a free meal at the end of every service. Our church family is now too big to do that regularly, but we want to continue to be a place of food, family, fun and fellowship as well as being a house of prayer, healing, worship, teaching and discipleship.
What is Heart for the House?
It has always been our heart at Max Life Church to prepare a home for people to encounter Jesus.
Heart for the House is a special time, once a year, when we as a church family have the opportunity to pray and sow into the future vision and mission of our church. Over recent years we have been able to pay $18,000 extra off our building debt, totally upgrade our coffee area space, run a kid’s outreach event and provide discipleship resources for families. We have seen more people come to know Jesus and our church grow in numbers and none of this would be possible if it wasn’t for your generosity.
This year's Heart for the House vision
For this year's Heart for the House Offering we are believing to upgrade our kitchen- including a new ceiling, fresh paint, cupboards, an easier to use sink area, serving space etc. Originally when we set up the kitchen, we could only afford temporary benches, and not cupboards. Since then, catering has increased for our ministries, for community events and meal ministry. An upgrade will make it easier for our volunteers serving in hospitality and will help us to minister to people through food now and into the future.
Our Heart for the House Celebration Sunday will be held this Sunday on Aug 24. There will be a time to bring our sacrificial offerings or giving cards, pray into the future and hear how God is working in people’s lives.
